Today’s scripture reading is 1 Corinthians 3:10-13
The foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ.
Have you ever visited the site of a burnt out or crumbling building site? If the foundation is a well made foundation, it’s often the only thing left, some have even used the old foundation and built new houses on the old foundation.
While a foundation that is made of stone and cement may not withstand intense heat from a fire, Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith, and He can withstand any fire. What we build upon this faith will eventually be tested either in this life or the life to come. Are the building blocks of your faith sayings, and what someone spoon feeds you or do you mine deep your personal relationship with God for the precious metals and stones?
