Today’s scripture is John 8:12-59

Jesus even states to the Sadducees in Matthew 22:32, Mark 12:27 and Luke 20:37-38, that God is the God of the living not the dead.

By this logic, when God says he is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, He is declaring them to be alive!

Note that in the passage we just read that the Jews are making one major error, they are assuming that Abraham is dead and gone, when God has declared him to be alive! There’s two deaths, and two lives. There are those that are alive and those that are spiritually alive! Those that are physically dead and those that are spiritually dead!

Jesus gives us the answer in this passage, those who believe and follow or do His teaching are His true disciples! Where do you stand?
